National Center for Radio AstrophysicsTATA INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCHPost Bag 3, Ganeshkhind, Pune University Campus, Pune-411007.The National Center for Radio Astrophysics Pune (NCRA) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) (an autonomous Institute under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India) Is an Internationally reputed research Institute. NCRA-TIFR has set up two radio telescopes viz. the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT) and the Giant Meterwave Radio Telescop* (GMRT). Located about 80 km north of Puna, GMRT is the world's largest radio telescope at meter wavelengths. NCRA is on the lookout for suitably qualified candidates for Its GMRT Observatory.
1) Project Scientific Assistant-B (Electronics)
[2 Posts: UR HQ: Khodad] (FTA: 3 years)
[TME 21,000 (Consolidated) + HRA:1200]
EQ: (I) B.Sc. (Electronics) wtth at least 60% marks
(ii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and its
applications.
EXP : Minimum 1 year experience in electronics /
electromagnetic interference /production division of a
large electronics unit
Age : Below 26 years
2) Technical Assistants (Mech)

UME : 26195, PB-2: 9300-34800, GP:4200]
EQ: (i) SSC/HSC (ii) Diploma in Engineering (Mech)
with atleast 60% marks (iii) Knowledge of use of
AutoCad and mechanical software (Iv) Knowledge of
NDT
EXP : Minimum 1 year experience In fabrication,
erection, painting and maintenance of large structures.
Age : Below 28 years
3) Technical Trainee (Tenure : 2 years)
[2 posts : UR, HQ:Khodad] [Stipend : 9000/- PM]
EQ: DERE/DIE with atleast 60% aggregate Training Areas : Support In development and maintenance of analog, digital and servo systems, data logging and documentation. No absorption after training. Age: Below25years.
4) Laboratory Assistant - B {Electronics}
[1 OBC, HQ : Khodad] [TME: 16715, PB-1:5200-20200,

EQ: (I) SSC OR equivalent, (II) ITI (Electronics /
Computers) with at least 60% marks,
EXP.: Either (I) 2 years or (II) NCTVT with 1 year In a
reputed organisation.
Age : Below 31 years.
5) Tradesman B (Mech)
[1 OBC, HQ:Khodad][ TME:16715. PB-1. 5200-20200.
GP:2000]
EQ: (i) SSC or equivalent (ii) ITI (Fitter/Machinist) with at
least 60% marks.
EXP : Either (i) 2 year or (ii) NCTVT with 1 year in
structural flWngs, fabricalton and alignment
or in hydraulics or maintenance of large mechanical
structures In a reputed organisation.
Age : Below 31 years
General: Age is inclusive of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC wherever applicable. Age will be reckoned as on 1 st Jury 2012. Candidate are liable to be transferred toother Centers/Field Stations of the Institute.
