RTM Nagpur University Students waiting for degrees from three years
The graduates of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur university (RTMNU) 
are awaiting  their degrees and are facing problem for future course. 
From 2012 students have not received degrees. What is shocking is that 
no emergent steps in this regards has been taken by the university as 
yet.
On Friday's Senate meeting, Adv Mohan Bajpayee raised this issue
 and said even after month of 101st convocation, the students have still
  not received their degrees. He further said that students who want to 
pursue education abroad are the worst suffers as presentation of degrees
 are very important there.  Even during job interviews degrees are very 
important. 
The administration admitted that the degree holders of
 year 2012 and 2013 have still not received their certificates. 
Controller of examination Prashant Mohite informed  the House that the 
work of degrees of 2012 has been completed and it will be issued to the 
students very soon. However, he could not give proper reply on the delay
 for 2012 and 2013.
Facilities to students
The president of Students Council of 
Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) Nitesh Fulekar 
raised an emotional pitch on the facilities provided to the students and
 also to the Student Council members. Coming from a rural background, 
Fulekar raised the issue of paltry remuneration of ` 1,500 paid to the 
Student Council president and secretary from past 10 years. 
Fulekar
 narrated, on the hardships  he has to face to  manage his expenses 
coming to Nagpur and doing his duties as student's representative.  He 
demanded raise in remuneration. All the Senate members also  supported 
his demand said the remuneration to be increased to `5,000. The chair 
agreed on this demand and assured that this will be put in the 
Management Council for approval. 
Fulekar also demanded that the 
duration and remuneration of 'Earn while learn' scheme be increased. The
 House and the chair agreed on this demand also. The wage per hour has 
been increased from ` 10 to ` 40 per hour. The duration will also be 
increased with students getting to do computer related  job, informed 
student welfare officer Dr Welukar.
Fulekar also demanded that a 
sports teacher be appointed in all the engineering colleges affiliated 
to RTMNU. The issues raised by Student Council president Fulekar were 
applauded by the House.
