Union Public Service Commission UPSC dated 1-3-2012 announced out the Civil Services Exam (Main) 2011 result. UPSC organized the Civil Services Exam (Main) in the October and November, 2011  now its result is out and its link is given below.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the central agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination and Naval Academy Examination.
The agency's charter is granted by the Constitution of India. Articles 315 to 323 of Part XIV of the constitution, titled Services Under the Union and the States, provide for a Public Service Commission for the Union and for each state.

This test was organized for the selections in the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service  and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).  As of the notification now UPSC will send the call letters to the successful candidates for interview. UPSC Announce Results 2012 | IFS Written Exam 2011 Result @ www.upsc.gov.in

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), on February 10, 2012, declared the result of Indian Forest Service (IFS) written examination 2011. The written examination was conducted in the month of July 2011. The result is made available on the Commission’s official website: http://www.upsc.gov.in/

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2012 on 20/05/2012 for recruitment of various posts of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and certain other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services / Posts. 

Eligibility:

• Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 01/08/2012. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
• Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
• Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
• Number of Attempts: The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible will be as follows:
  • General Category : Four
  • Physical Handicapped : Seven
  • OBC : Seven
  • SC / ST : No Limit
