DIRECT Second year Engineering admission process registered vacancies of 8,002 seals for Centralised Admission Process round II. The total sanctioned intake is 23.312. seals available for Second year are 11,395 seats. The total number of seats admitted in CAP round-I are 3393 while 8,002 seals are vacant for CAP round II. The on-line sub-mission ol CAP round II is ending on August 24.

Laxminarayan Institute of Technology with 1. Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management with 2, National Power Training Institute with 4, KDK Engineering with 8 showed excellent performance.

The other colleges include Meghe Group's Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Engineering, same group's YCCE. St Vincent Palloii. Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences' Dana Meghe Institute of Engineering and Technology and Research. Sawangi (Meghe). Guru Nanak Institute f Engineering and Technology. TGPI ET. Jhulelal Institute of Technology also done well and most of the students have given their second preference to these colleges.

ON THE last day of submission of forms for engineering admission. 18,600 students got registered themselves.

The Competent Authority shall conduct total 3 rounds of centralized admission consisting first two rounds of centralized allotment wherein eligible candidates will fill separate online option forms for respective rounds and third round of CAP shall be conducted by way of counseling only for the eligible Maharashtra State candidates.

Provisional Merit of CAP Rounds will be displayed on website on June 16.

THE Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admissions of Std-XI in different colleges in the city will start from June 15.

Total 9.285 seats for the 8.685 X passed out students are available while additional grant for the 600 seats has been given by Education Board, informed Dr S B Lohiya, President of Centralised Admission Committee in a press conference.

Addressing further Lohiya informed that, total 9.285 seats are available in the 50 colleges in the town. 2.885 seat in Arts faculty includes 2.050 of Marathi medium. 500 from Urdu. 265 of Hindi and 70 of English medium. 1370 seats of Commerce stream are available which include 610 of Marathi medium, 85 from Hindi. 55 from English and 120 of vocational. This year. 40 seats   have   been   increased   for Commerce stream.

Total of 4,430 seats are available in science stream including 560 seats increased by education board. The 4,430 seats comprised of 320 from Urdu medium. 2220 from English medium while 1890 from vocational courses. Last year. 400 seats of Science stream were remained vacant, informed Dr Lohiya.

The distribution of application forms will start in 12 colleges including at Vidyabharri College. Camp. Shri Shivaji Science College. Shri Brijlal Biyani Science College. Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities. Ramkrushna Higher Secondary School. Bharatiya Mahavidyalaya. Manibai Gujarati Higher Secondary School, MauiNhri Vimalabai Deshmukh College. Mahila Mahavidyalay, RDIK College. Badnera. Urdu Saifec Jubilee Junior College. Paradise Colonv from June 15. The application forms will be accepted from June 17. First list of the admitted students will be published on June 19 and in case of vacant seals, second list will published on June 21. The application forms along with the late fee will be accepted till June 22.

The list of special reserve categories will be published on June 29 here at BrijIal Biyani Science College and Matoshri Vimalabai Deshmukh College.

The list of open category will be published on July 6. The admission process will be completed till July 13 while regular classes of Std XI will start from July 15.

The long wait for the announcement of Maharashtra SSC 2013 results has raised students anxiety levels by several levels. Round-Ill)- from July 16 to 20. Commencement of new academic year for all institutes will be on July 22. The cut-off date for all type of admissions for the academic year 2013-14 will be on August 10.
