The applicants must fulfil the following conditions:-
a) Educational Qualifications (as on April 01, 2015):
  • Minimum Standard X pass. Maximum Undergraduate. Graduate / Degree holders are not eligible to apply.
  • An Ex‐Serviceman having passed Indian Army Special Certificate of Education will be deemed to be a matriculate. Although the matriculate ex-servicemen with 15 years of defence service are considered as ‘Graduates’, they are eligible to apply.
  • The candidates are advised to produce original certificates/testimonials etc.for examination at the time of interview and under no circumstances laminated certificate/s will be accepted by the Bank.
b) Age limit
The lower and upper age limit for the post is 18 and 25 years respectively as on April 01, 2015. However, the upper age limit is relaxable for
  1. SC & ST candidates by 5 years, OBC by 3 years,
  2. Ex-servicemen candidates to the extent of service rendered by them in the armed forces plus additional period of 3 years, subject to maximum upper age limit of 45 years.
Note: Cumulative age relaxation will not be available either under the above categories or in combination with any other categories.
Persons claiming relaxation in age should submit a certificate from the designated authorities in this regard. In case of disputes regarding age, the date of birth as recorded in SSC/Board/Matriculation certificate shall be final.
c) Experience:Only ex-Servicemen with proper military background are eligible. The candidates should have experience of handling of arms and ammunition in the military.
3. Description of Duties:
  1. Providing security, guarding Bank's property, other watch and ward duties at Bhubaneswar office round the clock.
  2. Operating X-Ray machines/ Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD)/ Hand Held Metal Detector (HHMD) for checking baggage at the entrance & other allied duties which may be assigned by the Bank.
  3. The Security Guards will have to work in shifts, including night shifts.
4. Pay & Allowances:Initial starting pay of Rs. 6350/- per month, in the scale of Rs.6350-220-7230-260-8010-300-8910-400-9710-500-11710-680-13750 (20years) + allowances as admissible from time-to-time. The total emoluments at the starting scale at the time of issue of advertisement works out to be Rs.17, 203/- per month (approximately).
5. General Instructions:
a) Ex-servicemen (original residents of State of Odisha) who have passed the qualifying examination from outside the recruitment zone either before or after leaving military service are eligible.
b) The relaxation as above are admissible to ex-servicemen for recruitment in civil/public sector only once in a lifetime.
c) Definition of Ex-serviceman:As notified by Government of India, definitions of Ex-serviceman is reproduced below for information and benefit of candidates:
“Ex-serviceman means a person, who has served in any rank (whether as a combatant or as a non-combatant) in the Regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Indian Union but does not include a person who has served in the Defence Security Corps, the General Reserve Engineering Force, the Lok Sahayak Sena and the Para Military forces and who has retired from such service after earning his pension or who has been released from such service on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability pension or who has been released, otherwise than on his own request, from such service as a result of reduction in establishment or who has been released from such service after completing the specific period of engagement, otherwise than at his own request or by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency and has been given a gratuity and includes personnel of the Territorial Army of the following categories, namely
  1. pension-holders for continuous embodied service;
  2. person with disability attributable to military service and
  3. Gallantry award winners. ”
d) Employees appointed in the Bank on or after January 01, 2012 will be governed by the defined contribution “New Pension Scheme”.
e) The persons, who are released/retired from Armed Forces and who are serving in the Armed Forces of the Union of India, who on retirement from services would come under the category of ‘ex-servicemen’, are permitted to apply for re-employment one year before the date of their proposed relief from services along with a no objection certificate.
f) Forms of the certificates to be submitted by all the above candidates are provided in Annex Iand these are to be submitted at the time of interview invariably.
6. Selection Process:
a) Selection will be made through written test and/or interview and medical fitness of eligible candidates. The candidates found suitable will be placed in the waiting list to be prepared subject to vacancies and reservation requirements.
b) Merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle the candidates to be called for written test/interview. The Bank reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards etc., in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test / interview commensurate with the number of vacancies. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final.
7. How to apply:
i) Candidates must apply in the prescribed format of application published herewith. Application in any other format is liable to be rejected.
ii) The format of the application form published herewith should not itself be used as Application. Application may be preferablytypewritten/printed or neatly handwritten in Hindi / English (Block/Capital). A4 size sheet(29.7 cm x 21 cm) should be used for Application.
iii) Application should be supported by the following documents:
  • Attested copies of all relevant documents/certificates regarding age, educational qualifications and proof of residence. (No originals should be sent with the application).
  • Latest passport size signed photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) should be affixed on the right hand top corner of the application.
  • In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, attested copy of the relative certificate from the Competent Authority.
  • Attested copies of the discharge certificate/service book issued by the Armed forces.
iv) The application must be sent by ordinary post onlyor may be deposited in the box kept at the Reception Counter, Reserve Bank of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Bhubaneswar-751001between 10.00 am to 05.00 pm on week days except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays in a cover super scribed “Application for the post of Security Guard”.

Resource Management Department, Recruitment Section, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Bhubaneswar-751001.
v) One envelope should contain application of one candidate only.
vi) No application will be received in person or any acknowledgement would be given thereof.
8. Ineligibility:
  • Seriously Orthopedically handicapped/ Hearing Impaired or Visually Handicapped who cannot undertake, the duties described, properly will not be eligible.
  • Before applying for the post of Security Guard, the candidates should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility norms in all respects as mentioned in the advertisement as on the date specified.
  • Applications incomplete in any respect and/or not accompanied by relevant documents/certificates and/or received late shall be rejected. Bank’s decision in this regard shall be final. The Bank reserves the right to reject any application/candidature at any stage of the recruitment process without assigning any reason/s.
9. Closing Date:
Applications complete in all respects must reach the Bank’s office at the aforesaid address latest by April 30, 2015.
10. Warning:
i) No correspondence will be entered into, with candidates not found eligible /not considered for Interview.

Prerequisite for applying online:

Before applying online, candidates should:
(i)    Scan their photograph and signature, ensuring that both conform to the required specifications given in Annexure-I to this notification.
(ii)    Keep the necessary details of Educational Qualifications and other personal details handy for entering in the online application.
(iii)    Create a valid personal email ID, if not already done. The email ID should be kept alive for entire duration of the recruitment process. Under no circumstances, the applicant should share email ID with any other person. Third party email ID is not permitted.

Procedure for applying online:

(i)    The applicants are required to go to the Bank's website “www.bankofbaroda.com” and click on theoption “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR SELECTION FOR ADMISSION TO BARODA MANIPAL SCHOOL OF BANKING” for applying online. Before filling the online application, the candidate should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria given in the notification.
(ii)    The applicants should completely fill up the online application form and upload their photograph and signature, as per the specifications given in the notification under 'Guidelines for Scanning'.
(iii)    The applicants should very carefully fill in the details in the On-Line Application at appropriate places and click on the “FINAL SUBMIT” button at the end of the Online Application format. Before pressing the “FINAL SUBMIT” button, candidates are advised to verify every field filled in the application.
(iv)    The application form is integrated with the payment gateway.The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
(v)    If the online transaction has been successfully completed, an e-receipt, Registration Number & Password will be generated. The applicants should note their Registration Numbers and Password for future reference.
(vi)    If the online transaction has not been successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the Application Fees/ Intimation Charges online.
(vii)    The applicants are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and the submitted online application form.

Note:


*    After submitting the payment information in the online application form, DO NOT press the Back or Refresh button in order to avoid double charge.
*    For Credit Card users, all prices are listed in Indian Rupee. In case of non-Indian credit card, the Bank will convert the amount based on its prevailing exchange rates.
*    To ensure the security of the data, please close the browser window once transaction is completed.

An email / SMS intimation with the Registration Number and password generated on successful registration of the application will be sent as a system generated acknowledgement to the email ID / Mobile Number specified in the online application form.
An online application, which is incomplete in any respect, such as without photograph and signature uploaded in the online application form / unsuccessful fee payment will not be considered as valid.
After completing the procedure of applying on-line including payment of fees, the candidate should take a printout of the system generated on-line application and should ensure the particulars filled in are accurate and retain it along with Registration Number and Password for future reference. They should not send this printout to the Bank.

Frequently Asked Questions: For On-Line Registration Process

1. What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page?

Speed for Registration of On-Line Application on Internet, is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of 15 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night.
2. How do I know that my application is registered?

Successful Registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated "REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD". Please note down the same carefully and preserve it. If you do not preserve it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download the Call Letter.
3. I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my application?

"REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD" are also sent by auto-response Confirmation emails. Delivery of these emails purely depends upon the correctness of E-Mail ID provided, Policy of your E-Mail Service Provider to accept and Divert such emails under Bulk or Spam Mails or bounce back such mails without accepting it due to heavy number of emails generated by our Applications. In case of Govt./official /company Email Ids, delivery is controlled by your Company Policies. Therefore, please do not expect replies from us, if you do not receive such confirmation / auto-response Emails.
4. How do I re-confirm that my application is saved?

In case of doubt about the successful Registration, candidates are advised to visit the Page for Re-Print of Application, generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application.
5. I got Blank / Zero Registration No. after submission of application on-line?

In rare cases Candidates may get Zero (0) Registration No. with valid Password. Candidates are advised to Re-Register the Application and check the Printout through Re-Print Application.
6. After filling up the complete form, I got Blank Screen / Internet got disconnected / My PC closed / hanged / shutdown. Is my application saved / registered?

Please refer to Point No.4. If you do not get the application printout through Re-Print option, your application is not saved. Please re-apply.
7. I did not receive the acknowledgement / reply to my email communication?

"Reply to" Email Id for the Application is created for the convenience of the Candidates for genuine communications. Please do not use this address to send back the emails for "Acknowledgment", "Vacation Mail", "Friendship Offers", "Sales Offers" etc. Our Email Server is configured to delete such emails automatically.
8. What details should I retain while replying to auto-response emails?

While writing back by replying the confirmation emails for genuine problem, please retain the text containing "REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD" details on the email.
9. What details should I provide while writing for the problem?

Please do not forget to provide following details while writing to us: (1) REGISTRATION NO. (2) MOBILE NO. (3) DATE OF BIRTH & (4) FULL NAME as entered in application. In case of application failure or any error message, we would like to have the screenshot of the error in JPG, GIF format or as MS Word file. Additionally, you may provide the PC Details including the Operating System (like Windows XP, Vista, Linux etc.) & Internet Browser & version (like Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla 3.0, Firefox 3.5 etc.) used.
10. I want to change / correct the details I entered in the Application?

Prior to submission of the online application, please choose the 'EDIT' option to correct the details. Please remember to take fresh print out after modifying any details. Candidate should note that the data entered in Basic Info cannot be modified.

    Candidates can apply online only from 01.12.2014 to 21.12.2014 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

    Pre-Requisites for Applying Online

    (i)  Before applying online, candidates should scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications as given in Annex I to this advertisement.
    (ii)  To make online payment of application fees/ intimation charges candidate should keep the necessary details/documents ready.
    (iii)  Candidate should have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results. RBI may send call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line and must maintain that email account.
    APPLICATION FEES/ INTIMATION CHARGES (NON REFUNDABLE)
    Payable from 01.12.2014 to 21.12.2014 Online (both dates inclusive) shall be as follows
    `. 50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. (Intimation Charges)
    `.450 /- for OBC/General candidates (Examination fee+ Intimation Charges)
    Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate
    Procedure for applying online
    a)    Candidates are first required to go to RBI website www.rbi.org.in . On the Home Page click on the option "Recruitment for the post of Junior Engineer" to open the On-Line Application Form.
       
    b)    Candidates will have click on "Click here for New Registration" link to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form. After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed. Basic information once saved cannot be edited.
       
    c)    Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature (Annex I)
       
    d)    Candidates should carefully fill in the details in the On-Line Application at the appropriate places very carefully and click on the "FINAL SUBMIT" button at the end of the On-Line Application format. Before pressing the "FINAL SUBMIT" button, candidates are strongly advised to carefully check every field filled in the application. The name of the candidate or his father/ her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets/photo identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
       
    e)    Candidates are advised to carefully fill in the online application themselves. No change is permitted after clicking on FINAL SUBMIT Button.
       
    f)    In case the candidate is unable to fill in the application form in one go, he/ she can save the data already entered. Once the application is filled in completely, candidate should submit the data.
    Mode of Payment
    Candidates have to make the payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges through the ONLINE mode only.
    Payment of fees/ intimation charges via the ONLINE MODE
    (i)    The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.
       
    (ii)    The payment can be made by using only Master/ Visa Debit or Credit cards or Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.
       
    (iii)    After Final Submit, an additional page of the application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details.
       
    (iv)    If the online transaction has not been successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the Application Fees/ Intimation Charges online.
       
    (v)    On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
       
    (vi)    Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form. Please note that if the same cannot be generated online transaction may not have been successful.
       
    (vii)    Amount of fees debited for unsuccessful transaction will be refunded to the candidate’s account in due course.
    Note:

    (i)    After submitting your payment information in the online application form, please wait for the intimation from the server, DO NOT press Back or Refresh button in order to avoid double charge
       
    (ii)    For Credit Card users: All charges are listed in Indian Rupee. If you use a non-Indian credit card, your bank will convert to your local currency based on prevailing exchange rates.
       
    (iii)    To ensure the security of your data, please close the browser window once your transaction is completed.
       
    (iv)    Please note that all the particulars mentioned in the online application including Name of the Candidate, Category, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, Email ID, Centre of Examination etc. will be considered as final and no modifications will be allowed after submission of the online application form. Candidates are hence requested to fill in the online application form with the utmost care as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. RBI will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of furnishing of incorrect and incomplete details in the application or omission to provide the required details in the application form.
       
    (v)    An online application which is incomplete in any respect such as without photograph and signature uploaded in the online application form will not be considered as valid.
       
    (vi)    Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply on-line much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date for depositing the fee to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on the RBI’s website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam.
       
    (vii)    RBI does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of RBI. (viii) Please note that the above procedure is the only valid procedure for applying. No other mode of application or incomplete steps would be accepted and such applications would be rejected.
       
    (ix)    Any information submitted by an applicant in his/ her application shall be binding on the candidate personally and he/she shall be liable for prosecution/ civil consequences in case the information/ details furnished by him/ her are found to be false at a later stage.
