The quiz follows an exhaustive selection process which involves a written exam followed by three grueling rounds of quizzing finally culminating in the grand finale to be held on 9th December 2011 at New Delhi.
UNESCO will also play an active part in this initiative by putting together some questions, which will be integrated into the Heritage Quiz.

The monumental effort is reach out to lakhs of students across the thousands of schools to spread awareness on the importance of conservation and other pertinent issues affecting society.
Speaking on this occasion, Vineet Joshi Chairman, CBSE, said “We hope that this association between CBSE & History will provide a wider platform to the CBSE to reach out to more and more schools and boost its drive to promote educational innovations, in general, and Preserve and Protect heritage monuments in the country in particular.”
